Picea mariana, commonly known as Black Spruce, is a native evergreen tree admired for its narrow, conical form and dark green needles. Thriving in full sun to partial shade with moist, acidic soils, Black Spruce is well-suited to wetland edges, naturalized landscapes, and cold-climate gardens. Its dense foliage provides year-round shelter for wildlife and contributes to soil stabilization in damp sites.

Care Instructions
Different plants have different watering needs. Check the soil moisture by inserting your finger about an inch into the soil. If it feels dry, water the plant until the water drains from the bottom of the pot. Avoid overwatering, as it can lead to root rot.
